Spring 2022 Parent Empowerment Conference

A family walking together
Event Date: April 4, 2022 6:00 PM – Saturday, Apr 9, 2022 12:00 PM EDT
Although we my long for a return to the way things once were or shrug our shoulders at the way things are today, one thing is certain, things have changed. Schools have changed, day programs have changed, the workforce has changed, and the disability movement has changed. However, changing circumstances and landscapes can lead to innovation. Now more than ever parents and families wish to take more of their own destiny into their own hands. However, we do not always know how. We feel powerless, naïve, inexperienced, and unqualified.
This annual Parent Empowerment Conference is dedicated to the idea parents can be, and typically are, the innovators of the disability movement. We invite you to hear the stories of parents who saw a need and blazed a trail to the future. We hope you will be inspired by their experiences so that you may have the courage to blaze your own trail.
Hinkle Prior & Fischer is proud to present our 3rd Annual virtual Parent Empowerment Conference with some of the most well-known and well-respected members of the disability community. As we build upon our first of its kind virtual conference for families, we hope you will join us for more valuable information.
For nearly 50 years Hinkle Prior & Fischer remains the leader in advocacy for people with disabilities and their families. Now more than ever we must come together to gain knowledge which empowers us to shape our future. Welcome to the 3rd annual, Hinkle Prior & Fischer Parent Empowerment Conference.
Conference workshops are listed in the order in which they are being presented, and categorized by date and time. To view the workshop list and schedule, please navigate to their order form, in which you can view the workshop lineup, broken down by each conference date.
